Real Beauty Moment: Mother of Beauty

I feel like I’m blessed. You know why?

Because I was born in Africa, Nigeria, the motherland of beauty. We are basically the mothers of beauty. The mothers of everything. So I feel like I’m blessed because I have this dark skin. No one can take that from me.

When I was in middle school and high school I was a little overweight so I had struggle with feeling like beauty was the skinny model in the magazine. And then I got older and I realized my curves make me and God gave me those curves and I need to embrace them.

For BCB’s Real Beauty Moments, women share their beauty testimonies with us wherever we meet them.
