9-Year-Old Girl Becomes Youngest to Ever Publish A Book

Talk about gifted!  Anaya Lee Willabus, a 9-year-old girl from Brooklyn, recently became the youngest published author in U.S. history to write a chapter book, according to the New York Daily News

The young author told WPIX, Her book titled, The Day Mohan Found His Confidence, is “about a boy’s struggle to balance life at home and school has inspired students from New York to Guyana, where her parents were born.”

Her mother, Dimple Willabus, says her daughter began reading when she was just 2-years-old.  Her favorite books are I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban, by Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb; and Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance, by Barack Obama.
