Here we go again with another mainstream publication misappropriating black hairstyles.  This time the culprit is none other than VOGUE.com.

Lupita stepped onto the red carpet at the Met Gala with her jaw dropping hairstyle, reminiscent of Nina Simone and indigenous African updos, specifically from Zulu women of South Africa.

But Vogue dubbed the Kenyan beauty’s look as the second coming of Audrey Hepburn.  Sigh.

The great thing is, Ms. Nyong’o politely corrected them via Instagram by tagging them on the true inspiration.
