Throwback Beauty: Old School Nigeria

I’m honoring my mother as today’s throwback beauty.  Here she’s pictured (far right) with some of her classmates in Ibadan, Nigeria where she was born and bred.  I can’t even begin to describe how much I love looking at old photos of my parents and Nigerians in general.  The way they posed was so intriguing–many looked away from the camera with a slight grin or maybe some attitude like my mom did here.  Some stared straight into the lens with strength and confidence like the woman in the middle.  The style back then was also bomb, especially when the women rocked geles.  And check out their hair!  #BeyondClassicallyBeautiful indeed.
