Last Sunday was a great day in Beyond Classically Beautiful history! It was then that we successfully unveiled part of our upcoming photo series, Body Noire 2: A Celebration of Black Female Bodies, gallery style in Brooklyn.
Dana Oliver and Yetty Bames kicked the kind of knowledge of black beauty and black bodies that was literally soul stirring! The women and men in attendance brought the kind of love and light that keeps us thriving with our mission to celebrate the diverse beauty of black women unapologetically. We couldn’t have asked for a better turn out!
Body Noire 2 is the second installment of the critically acclaimed series we first started last year. Serena Williams inspired the idea after she was body shamed by one major publication and fellow tennis stars. This year we highlight a cast of six women who have learned to love their bodies just as they are. Please stay tuned for the full reveal of the photo series and check out photos from the event that give a glimpse of part of the series!
