Rihanna is killing it as usual. Fresh off the news that her celebrated Fenty Beauty line made $72 million in it’s first month of operation, the Bajan beauty is making headlines as Vogue Arabia’s latest cover girl.
The shoot pays tribute to the iconic Egyptian queen, Nefertiti. And while the shoot is beautiful, it caught a bit of controversy from some folks online calling it cultural appropriation.
isn’t this culture appropriation?

The criticism seems like a stretch given the fact that ancient Egyptians are known to be a Black and multi racial group (both of which Rihanna identifies as). Nonetheless, Vogue Arabia is thrilled about the cover.
