Launched by Emmy award winning journalist, Abi Ishola in 2014, Beyond Classically Beautiful first began as a photo series designed to celebrate the diverse beauty of Black women. We work to inspire and uplift Black women through beauty and style coverage focusing on the everyday woman. Our goal is to break down society's narrow standards of beauty as a way to establish real beauty ideals. Our readers are bold, industrious, stylish, intelligent, and beautiful beyond categories.
